Dear all, looks like we have made a mistake yesterday. To Johnny Rocket, thanks for explaining yourself and yes, we may have read too much into your statement and in the heat of the moment, reacted hastily and we apologise for having said what we said. To everyone else who called us sensitive, kiasu, perasan, yes you are right. Maybe we feel such a way because we know how hard it is for us and others like us in the same industry to do what we do. Maybe weve been thru too much or is too passionate in our craft that we over-reacted and took offence on behalf of our friends in the industry. (We cant say we represent the whole of Malaysia, but at least in our small circle, we can proudly call Junkyard, Burgertory, Yummylicious, KGB, Burger Bakar Kaw Kaw, Abang John, and the likes as friends.) Everyone of us has a story of blood, sweat and tears that makes up for what you see on the surface today. Maybe we just care a bit too much. Well, whatever the case is, we cant take back what we said. We just want to apologise for misunderstanding Johnny Rocket and we believe they had no ill intention to put us down or anyone else. For all our supporters, we are sorry if we have disappointed you and misrepresented ourselves. And yes, please go try Johnny Rockets (along with all the other Burger joints we mentioned) if you havent already.
