Dear all of my Facebook friends, Recently my little brother Joseph moved to Delaware. He rent a Uhaul, packed up all his belongs and hit the open road. Only problem is that uhaul rented him a truck that had a faulty break line!!! He lost his breaks on the interstate going SIXTY miles an hour! When he was finally able to stop, he was stranded for SIX hours!!! They got him a upgrade (it was a bigger truck? Dont see that as a upgrade) and put him back on the road. He ended up having to drive extra miles (which he paid for) to go to our mothers to spend the night. The brain trust at UHAUL decided that $150 cash refund AND a $100 store credit was fair?!?! I spoke with 3 different people about this (two of them were EXTREMELY rude and did not care! The third person barely budged! She offered to exchange the 100 store credit (hello, he already moved!!!) for a additional $50 cash. This is their final decision, and refused to let me speak with anyone higher than her! They cost Joey. $800 in lost wages due to missing deadlines! He COULD HAVE DIED?!?! I just wanted to let everyone know how terrible of a company they were! They fulfilled the reasonable expectation of getting him moved within the framework of their contract!! Think again before you rent one of their DEATHTRAPS!!
