Dear alumni, To better serve the needs of students in Kyrgyzstan considering pursuing higher education in the US, the EducationUSA center in Bishkek is planning to hold its first annual Alumni Fair. The fair needs plenty of alumni participants to be a success. We are writing to you, because we are looking for graduates of US colleges and universities and full year U.S. undergraduate or graduate exchange participants to come to share your experience and information about your alma maters with prospective students. EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State-supported network of hundreds of advising centers around the world. As a volunteer at the alumni fair you would help advance EducationUSA’s mission of building bridges between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and the United States through education. Past alumni fairs in the region have shown them to be a critical factor in encouraging students to pursue higher education in the United States. The Alumni Fair is tentatively scheduled to take place on June 1st, 2014 from 1-4 pm at Baylinov Youth Library. Volunteers would be expected to contribute approximately 2 hours of time by staffing a table at which they would answer high school or university students’ questions about their alma mater and make a short (15-20 minute) presentation about their college or university. Your full name 2. The name of your alma mater in the USA, graduation year (or exchange year), and academic degree received (or no degree if exchange year) 3. Current position 4.
