Dear brothers and sisters, I am indebted to you all! In the last few days, I have been inundated with telephone calls, text messages and emails pouring out messages of goodwill and congratulations following the announcement of my appointment with the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority. These messages have come mainly from our brothers and sisters around the world; from America, Europe, Asia, the West Indies, Africa and indeed from within Nigeria. Of course, it will be too cumbersome to mention individual names in this write-up but I want to assure you that I have read all your messages. I truly thank you for your excellent wishes and prayers. Let me use this opportunity to also congratulate my brother Mr. Essien Ndueso who has recently been appointed PA to the Governor on Media. His hard work and dedication to duties has earned him the promotion. Congratulations! Permit me use this medium to thank God Almighty who has the ability to make anything possible; the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan for this opportunity and for having the confidence in Nigerians in the Diaspora knowing that they too can make contributions to the economy. My stupendous gratitude goes to His Excellency Chief Dr Godswill Akpabio whom God used as a conduit to manifest His grace. I will ever remain grateful to him and his family for such a tremendous show of commitment to the people of Akwa Ibom state and his crusade in raising the standards of our people. My gratitude also goes to the Global Secretariat and the entire membership of Akwa Ibom Diaspora Network (AIDN) under the able leadership of Mr. Clement Ikpatt for their usual support; also to the Ati Annang UK/International and the entire membership through its publicity unit spearheaded by Mr. Steve Nelson. Not forgetting other Akwa indigenous organisations worldwide that have registered their message of goodwill. My commitment to you therefore can only be manifested in my dedication to duties and the protection of the interest of Akwa Ibom people worldwide, Nigerians in the Diaspora and the Federal republic of Nigeria.
