Dear church family at SNC: This Sunday is going to be a bitter-sweet day. Josh and Many Hutto (and girls) have accepted a call to the pastorate at the Berry Church of the Nazarene, so this Sunday morning will be their final service at SNC. We are extremely happy for Josh and Mandy and for the Berry Church. Of course we are saddened to lose two people so integral to the ministry at SNC, but we believe that their calling to ministry at Berry is all in Gods leading. That being said, the Berry congregation is joining with our congregation Sunday morning. They are going to be our guests for worship AND FOR LUNCH--SO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS....Get the skillets and the crockpots a cookin. We will have a regular worship service with a couple of slight variations. We wanted to do this combined service so that we could celebrate with both congregations; i.e., Josh and Mandys many contributions to SNC over the past few years, and their future ministry at Berry. We want this to be kind of like a marriage ceremony--SNC will give the bride away to the Berry folk. The Berry people are VERY EXCITED! They are gushing with joy and anticipation, so we want to encourage that spirit on Sunday morning. It would be very appropriate to bring a card of thanks and congratulations for Josh and Mandy (and any other way that you might like to show your appreciation for their service at SNC; gifts are welcomed).
