Dear employers, You get what you pay for. You also get what you dish out. When you pay minimum wage, expect to scrape the bottom of the barrel as far as workforce. Not only will you get a younger demographic, but you will get the unskilled and people with little drive to work. Youre not going to get anyone worth their salt because the ones with skill and a dedicated attitude will go work for a company that is willing to pay a reasonable wage. To go along with that, if you think workers who have been hired and spit out over and over again, used up and dried up by the crap factories you consider companies, are going to be dedicated to working for you, to come in every day to work hard, youre shit out of luck. The way you treat workers will affect how workers expect to be treated. If workers expect no job security, expect to be cheated out of a liveable wage, and have zero opportunity to advance, why the hell do you think they will treat your company like anything but a temporary way to line their pockets until something better comes along? So your homework. Figure out why workers dont want to work for you even when theyve been unemployed for ages.
