Dear facebooks, A very close friend of mine, Katherine Kelly, is currently running a project here in Arusha Tanzania. Hill Crest Pre Primary School is a free school for children under the age of 7 who experience the toughest living conditions in Masai Village, Sakina. At Hill Crest the children are provided daily meals as well as pre-primary education including mathematics, English, reading and basic sciences. With the number of students growing almost weekly, it is becoming more and more difficult to find the space and resources to educate 75 children in an area far smaller than your average home. Realizing this, Katherine has created “Hope for Hill Crest” a campaign which aims to raise $75,000US needed to build the children a boarding school where they can grow and learn in a stable and healthy environment. With $30,000 already raised and the building project well underway, we still need the remaining $45,000 to get the job done as soon as possible. I know a lot of you who will see this are mostly students who find it difficult to pay for lunch let alone donate but any sum whether it be big or small will be greatly appreciated. As well as this, getting the word out to parents, friends, brothers, sisters, workmates, grandparents, partners, neighbors (I think you get the idea) will also help Katherine out a great deal! 100% of the proceeds go towards building costs such as supplies, labor and logistics.
