Dear family and friends, Election Day is here and voters are making their choices already in voting booths throughout the District. On this day, I want to personally thank you for all the kindnesses you have shown me during the campaign. I have received numerous texts, messages, postings, even a couple of hand written letters from old-schoolers like myself, all with encouraging thoughts and even some humor to carry me through. It has been a joy to serve you and all the families and children of the District and I dearly hope I will be able to continue to do so. Although many of you have voted, please encourage others you may know to do the same. A recommendation from a friend or family member is most effective in any campaign. I attach 2 photos of another little friend, Bridgette. One was taken 6 years ago in the first campaign, the other more recently. I post them to remind us all of how quickly children grow, how much they change, and how every moment with them in our care is precious.
