Dear family/friends as of this evening Barry was moved into his own private room. He seemed a bit anxious tonight so I decided to stay the night with him. I could see it relieved that anxiety. Today his recostructive Doctor came to see him. He said so far, so good. He said the drains on his leg and neck look good. Lip movement good. His face look symmetrical. The swelling will go down. Hes coughing more today which is good because hes expelling secreations from his lungs the downside is it hurts his head. Hes very tired of having headaches it annoys him. They are of course given him pain meds. They are very good here at what they do. Wednesday they will go to a smaller trach and four or five days theyll remove the cast on his leg. Everything takes time and patience. They are starting to teach me about the feeding tube and how to administer food and medicine. I have to pass a test before he leaves the hospital. My best friend Debbie Allen Green reassures me that I can do it. I am confident. She actually has been so good to talk too because she was a respiratory therapist. Barry looks forward to our evening prayers giving God thanks for His reassurance in our minds and hearts. Placing our needs before Him and asking Him to bless our family and friends for their prayers, good thoughts and love. ♥
