Dear friends: I have only been in Hardy County for a little less than 7 years. During that time, I have heard a great deal about the reputation of county wide corruption. I cannot with a clear conscience remain silent. My intention is to take a serious look behind the visible events, to see what can be brought to light. Though I will do my best to verify my facts, I obviously will make mistakes. If and when I do, I will certainly correct them. I have no intention of being Politically Correct: if he lies, he did not “misspeak”, he lied. I intend to go to the commissioners’ meetings and other meetings as I have time. I will try to keep this mailing list informed of things of particular interest to those in the county who do not have the time to attend the 9 AM meetings, or maybe other important meetings. And if I know of important issues up for public debate, I will let you know. The Examiner does a good job of keeping people informed, but it does not come out until 8 days after the Tuesday morning commissioners meeting. We will try to keep this list posted withing a few hours after the meeting of things that need public attention. Let us present a united front against those who might inclined to take the taxpayers/voters for granted. Help us build an e mail contact list. If you know of things that need closer examination, pleas let me know. But I will not make any public statement about anything without being able to verify the facts. There is not need to use your name in the e mail sent to me, and I will not share your name nor e mail address with others, without your express permission.
