Dear friends, I want to share from Ibiza-Spain, this wonderful work that the Astronomical Association of Ibiza has made in recent days, we have had a great impact on the media and were happy, we are a small and without much help group but the quality of their fans compensates for difficulties. From here I give my small tribute of diffusion, to be known, the untiring work they love with the sky.(AAE. agrupaciónastronomicaibiza) AUTHOR: ASTRONOMICAL ASSOCIATION OF IBIZA (AAE) - MARCO ANTONIO YUSTE The EPA has concluded, after several months of work for obtaining images and their corresponding processing, a new high-resolution photography. This is known as the nebula IC 427, located in the constellation of Orion, namely the well-known South Sword of Orion (M42). It is a region of the universe where stars are being born today and most of them are still in a very early stage of its existence. Pictured abundant masses of hydrogen gas surrounding this area of the Orion molecular complex are observed. Right in the center of the image there is a small spot of light blue with a dark center. This is a different nebula, NGC 1999. It is a region of gas and dust that reflects the light emitted by the variable star V380 Orionis, 3.5 times larger than the sun. As for the making of this image, it was necessary to obtain a total of 222 different photographs of this object over several months, distributed channel Luminance, Red, Green, Blue and Hydrogen Alpha, to achieve sufficient light signal this weak and faint nebular field, which is invisible to the telescope by many increases you have. Once obtained these photos, which have a total exposure of 20 hours, these were stacked through dedicated software for signal accumulate all. Once stacked, have been subjected to different treatment processes in order to bring out details in the field of deep space. This is one of the best existing photos in this region of the universe, not only because of the dedication of the astronomers and astrophotographers the EPA, but also to the exceptional quality of Cala dHort Telescope (HCT), provided with a optics of the highest quality. The author of the image processing is Marco Antonio Moreno Yuste, in collaboration with other members of the EFA. In the video below regions of interest of the image are explained
