Dear friends, Im sorry its come to this. But the growing number of people asking to join this group who have no connection to Virginia Beach, the Cavalier Hotel or historic preservation compels me to announce that no new group members will be approved. You wouldnt believe the number of people--everything from merchants trying to sell sunglasses and used cars to buxom young Asian girls looking for a good time--who ask to join this page each day. Ive tried to keep this page free of commercial content, clean and confined to constructive conversation about the preservation of the old hotel. But weeding through the list of requests has become too tedious. (And if youd actually like to meet buxom young Asian girls looking for a good time, then youll just have to start your own page.) Ill open the group back up if this mess settles down. But for now were closed to new members.
