Dear friends, In the main entrance foyer of my “Kindness House” building we have a large gallery of framed photographs of our animal projects around the world. The gallery is entitled “Why we do what we do”. . . . . . It seeks to answer the visitors unspoken question “Why animals?” By the time visitors have completed their tour of Kindness House, they have a lump in their throat and are speechless. They suddenly realise what has been happening while their minds and consciences have been asleep. Imagine my joy to receive a short film clip edited by Roey Barda, Shlomi Hillel and Mike Green in Israel. Using snippets from the marvellous film “Cloud Atlas” they poignantly compare the plight of the brave people who fought to end slavery with the plight of today’s animal rights activist. . . . . . Most importantly, it also answers the question “Why?” I commend this short film clip to you. It is done in a most engaging and truth way. Most of all, it is authentic.
