Dear friends: Its been a transitional time at SW with the passing - TopicsExpress

Dear friends: Its been a transitional time at SW with the passing of our Dear friend and mentor Jorge Royan. Our activity is thriving, yet his presence is deeply missed. I believe that from the place he is he would be happy to see that his effort to create a tight community of talented people keeps growing and becoming solid, and we all keep learning and becoming better every day by the daily critiques and comments on everybodys work. One of the suggestions he was talking about with Robert prior to passing was a sort of mentorship program in which we could learn from members specific things we like about the work, and wish to receive tips and instruction in how to work with the technique and media. In continuation with this line of thought, and also in response to the poll that we did recently to see where the interest is, Id like to invite you to comment and suggest your views and ideas, as we are planning to reassign SW Details into a pilot group called SW UNIVERSITY. A place where all tutorials by members will be shared and posted. The proposal is the following: 1-To create a space in which our members can share new or existing step by step tutorials. Posted directly or through a link from the members blog. 2-Open a place to ask questions and get answers from members on how to achieve a particular effect, what materials you like and use, what advise can we share. 3-The tutorials will be featured in our SW Facebook Page as well as a brief interview with the artist, and blog/website information. 4-We can create Monthly compendiums of this instruction and add them to our PDF library. (Like Pen and Ink and Living Creatures PDF compendiums) If you like this idea please comment whos work you would like to see a tutorial from and what would you like to learn. We can display the subjects in SW University and post calls for artists tutorials. Please feel free to share your views and have a great creative day!!
