Dear friends, Ref.: 486 BOMBARDMENT GROUP On behalf of the project ‘Faces of Margraten’ (see our website thefacesofmargraten/index.php/en-US/home ) I am collecting photographs of the USAAF Bomb Group and Fighter Group personnel who are commemorated at the Netherlands American Cemetery & Memorial. Of the 486 BOMBARDMENT GROUP fifteen men are buried at Margraten Cemetery or commemorated on the Walls of the Missing. We have only 5 photographs and thus are missing 10! Who can provide us with a photograph of: 1 Lt BEESON, William H. (N), and Sgt PUGLIA, Nicholas D. (RO) Both of the 2 Lt David M. Paris crew and KIA 2nd November 1944. Sgt LOPEZ, Richard L. (TG), Member of the 2 Lt Howard Heinz crew and KIA 30th November 1944. 2 Lt ALEXANDER, Bruce C. (Pilot), Cpl SHURTLEFF, Dwight K. (WG), F/O SYKORA, Roy J. (N), Cpl WOLSTEIN, Isadore (BTG), and S/Sgt ZOLYNSKI, Chester, Members of the Bruce C. Alexander crew and MIA 6th December 1944. 2 Lt LYFORD, George E. (N), Member of the Lt Walter G. Center crew and MIA 7th April 1945. Sgt SAROCKAS, Charles Jr (TTG) Member of the Lt Kenneth P. Dolan crew and MIA 10th April 1945.
