Dear friends, This is an appeal from Dwaraka Pandurangi to support Vidya Sagar, a very special institution for people with disabilities, located in Chennai. I have visited it and found it very warm and caring. Do give what you can. Each rupee will be well spent for making life better for those not as fortunate as us. ************************* It is that time of the year when thousands of Delhiites run for fun and for a cause – The Airtel Delhi Half Marathon -23rd November, 2014! The difference this time, is that the Charity Partner is the totally Pro-NGO India Cares Foundation who has made it very easy for NGOs to raise funds through this festive event and for donors and well-wishers to give and to raise funds for us. This year again, I am running 6 Kms to raise funds to start a building maintenance fund, to strengthen our administration and support system and to start a transport fund to support children who need this support. Vidya Sagar is the proud winner of the coveted India NGO Award 2013 (Medium Category) and has taken huge strides in reaching out to over 3,800 persons with multiple disability in a given year, covering every degree of disability, concentrated in Tamil Nadu, but covering almost the whole country and beyond (we get children from neighbouring countries too), catering to all strata of society, offering high quality professional service with tender loving care. The dream is to have an ideal Rs.10 crores in our Corpus. I appeal to you to help us get there as soon as possible. Please introduce Vidya Sagar to your corporate and personal friends and relatives.
