Dear friends! Today is Human Rights Day and in honor of this very important day, Im asking all of my friends and human rights crusaders to please take a moment and watch this video. It is a message from Kuoth Wiel who stars in the film, The Good Lie that tells the inspiring true story of the lost boys and girls of Sudan. Kuoth was a refugee and now stars in the movie along with Reese Witherspoon and a wonderful cast of actors who were lost boys and girls. Its a terrific movie (received an A+ CinemaScore) and available on iTunes today. Too few films about important human rights and social justice issues are being produced these days because some believe that these stories do not appeal to mainstream audiences. I believe it is critically important to continue to make these films and audiences need to see them. So, I am turning to my friends and colleagues who understand the value of these movies. The Good Lie is wonderful: powerful, poignant, funny and triumphant.
