Dear friends, We would like to appeal for some flood relief related assistance. We have 10+ people among MaGIC staff, MaGIC coworkers and e@Stanford participants who are scrambling to build an info aggregator to bridge the gap between social feeds and official news regarding the floods on the east coast. We are working as a community, independent of MaGIC, to build a website and a simple app so that people can keep track based on certain tags, news and social media handles. This is still in progress - mybanjir, so that we can reach out to as many people as possible regarding flood relief in the east coast. Our first version should be ready by end of day. We would like to integrate SMS sending as a way to disseminate text only info to people affected by this tragedy. It will also have a short link to donations. Feel free to suggest any additional features or contribute.
