Dear friends, Would you like to be in real time contact with young Christians around the world? Would like to learn more about global aspects of eco-Justice, migration and peace-building? Would you like to share your ideas with the youth delegates to the WCC Assembly later this month in Busan, Korea? The youth programme of the World Council of Churches is putting together its first virtual conference on 12 October 2013 in order to do exactly that. Please visit ecumenicalyouth.org to find out more and to register. In the virtual conference, we have lined up a good number of inspirational speakers and workshop leaders who will share by video and be available for questions followed by short bible studies. You can join from where ever you are, provided you have an Internet connection. The themes will be eco-justice, peace-building and migration with our keynote speakers being Archbishop Tutu, Christiana Figueres and Father Dr Daniel Groody. The virtual conference will also be a great opportunity to bring others - for example your youth group - together to participate jointly in the program and to talk about what it may mean in your context. We also want to highlight the WCC Live your Faith! youth award and encourage you to nominate a youth organization or youth group doing good work on the ground for their communities! For more information please click here - ecumenicalyouth.org/award/ Thanks for your help in promoting youth empowerment and engagement, particularly in the field of eco-justice! Best wishes, Dinesh Suna Coordinator, EWN of WCC
