Dear friends and colleagues at home and abroad, Just informing you that I have been dully elected today, Saturday, April 12, 2014, by the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), along James Williams (Jay Willie) as the two proposed Print Expert nominees to the Independent Media Commission (IMC) of Sierra Leone. In the next few days, we will be appointed Commissioners of the IMC by the President of Sierra Leone, subject to Parliamentary approval. Im grateful to God first for making this happen and to my colleagues for the confidence reposed in me. I also deeply appreciate those who did not vote for me for the peaceful and mature manner in which they conducted themselves throughout the entire process, with no mudslinging. I pulled 101 votes, while Jay Willie pulled 68 votes, narrowly defeating George S. Khoryama by 1.
