Dear friends, comrades, brothers and sisters; Eid mubarak to you, your families and loved ones. In this time of adversity and loss, whether people liked it or not, whether they understood it or not, you have all the right to be angry and sad. You have all the right to feel and express these very legitimate normal human feelings, channel them in their natural course as needed, and use them as a force for good. Stigmatizing and repressing traumas is neither revolutionary nor spiritual. Eid is notoriously hard to pin down as scholars seem to delight in disagreeing over when to celebrate. So whenever you are celebrating it, though I can not reach you through the miles between us, I am with each and every one of you in spirit, in heart, in love and faith. I will be working, covering the Eid celebrations tomorrow. So when we meet, let us meet with full joy with each other, we are still here. كل عام وانتم بخير.. تقبل الله منا ومنكم صالح الاعمال عيد مبارك, صحّا عيدك
