Dear friends, for those of you who are wondering why I havent been able to post or share petitions or needy pets to the usual 30 plus groups I generally use, its because, I was suddenly, rudely informed that I have been blocked, ie: placed in Facebutt jail. If this has happened to some of you, dont be surprised, if like me, you find yourself blocked by these cowardly bureaucrats for the better part of the next month! Here is a copy of the email I just sent to: Facebook on behalf of myself and every other caring, generous animal activist I know. Please feel free to use all or part of it, if you wish......Oceans of Hugs from San Diego xxxxxxx ;-) To Mark Zuckerberg & Co.: To what do we -- the thousands of charitable animal activists, who happen to also have the sad misfortune to be Facebook users -- owe the gross injustice of being rudely, unceremoniously barred from cross posting petitions and pictures to activist groups on behalf of our innocent, voiceless fellow creatures? What ghastly felony have we committed that we deserve to be OUSTED with no warning from groups weve participated in and, in many cases, have also been co-administrat ors of for years?? For a long time, Facebook has come under justifiable scrutiny and fire for removing gentle, innocuous images of mothers breastfeeding their infants and shutting down their accounts. Yet you refuse to ban sociopaths and pedophiles who parade the most vile, nauseating exhibitions of their sadistic fantasies before the entire world!! Similarly, you turn a blind eye to the human monsters and trolls whose loathsome texts and images extol the daily joys of inflicting barbaric torture and murder on innocent, helpless animals! Yet, you view dedicated animal activists with obvious scorn and disdain, as evidenced by the punishments you inflict on us by withholding our rights to share comments, stories and pictures regarding our needy, four-footed friends! I think you faceless bureaucrats have become so rich, youve forgotten what it is to struggle; so arrogant, youve forgotten to be humble, so mindlessly apathetic and lacking in conscience, you dont share one backbone among the lot of you! By banning those with a strong moral compass from rescuing our furry companions --- those beautiful pets whose literal survival and last minute reprieve from the torture of gas chambers or needle sticks in the foul modern death machines known as shelters depend on activists sharing and saving them -- give yourselves a giant round of applause!! YOUVE JUST SIGNED THE DEATH WARRANTS OF THOUSANDS OF BELOVED DOGS and CATS!! You cowardly hypocrites can bask for now in your material glory and your power trips. But, as the great scholar and martyr, Sir Thomas More, of Robert Bolts classic 1966 drama A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, said: Death comes for us all, My Lord...even for kings. And from the New Testament, Mark 8:36: For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? And, last but not least, from Edward Yashinsky, a Yiddish poet who survived the Holocaust only to die in a Communist prison in Poland: Fear not your enemies for they can only kill you. Fear not your friends for they can only betray you. Fear only the indifferent, who permit the killers and betrayers to walk safely on the earth!
