Dear friends, today the “Aquatoria Daily” is going to tell you about the unique albino fur seal, called Nafanya. The child fur seal with a rare ginger color and sky blue eyes, blind and helpless, was found by the photographer Anatoly Strakhov on Tulenii Island, in the Sakhalin region of Russia. Apparently, the flock refused to accept the albino fur seal and the ginger baby that was only 4 months old in that time, was doomed for loneliness and unavoidable death. Albinos are slow in physical development. Perhaps one day the female-baby fur seal was failed to go equally fast with her relatives and was thrown a side by the water. The fact that the albino has survived in that circumstances is unique. Being informed about that baby, the administration and employees of the “Aquatoria” Marine Park couldn’t be indifferent to the situation and suggested a new home for the fur seal. In these circumstances the albino fur seal has found a new shelter in the dolphinarium of Sochi. She was called “Nafanya”. The employees of the dolphinarium say: “We do realize, that apart from us nobody helps, this kind of animals need to be in a special conditions for survival. We have already had fur seals, but the albino is the only one”. You are welcome to see the unique ginger albino fur seal in the “Aquatoria” Marine Park. The access to the Nafanya house is free.
