Dear furiends, While we have been storming the gates of city officials and folks who we think can make a difference, the folks who remain dedicated to saving lives at the Rutherfordton Shelter remain steadfast in their mission. This wee...k, over 10 lives were saved. The wet kitten and all her siblings were saved. Five relatively healthy (relatively healthy given the conditions of the shelter) were saved. And then theres this guy. youcaring/pet-expenses/vetting-expenses-for-the-kitten-with-an-injured-eye/209307 This is a two month orange tabby kitten (who DOESNT love an orange tabby kitten??) whose eye is in rough shape. The vets will do what they can to save it, but he needs help. He needs meds and ointments and only the love and caring a foster can give. And, oh by the way, he needs a rescue. Please share his story so that we can find him a rescue, or maybe even a forever home, and get him the health care he needs. The kittens can still use your prayers, furiends. They are finally drinking milk on their own, but still have a long way to go. The foster was already overloaded when she agreed to take these guys on - who wouldnt after seeing their pictures. Please spread the word so that more animals can be spared from those terrible conditions! This weekend, furiends, I plan to gather the troops and figure out whats next.
