Dear guests at weddings, We live in a world of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc & I know that we all want everyone to know what we are currently up to & to share images with those around us. But...its out of control. I am pleading with you to put your cell phones away during the ceremony. Im begging you. Stop leaning into the aisles when the bride is walking with her father. I have countless images now of the bride coming down the aisle & all I can see are cell phones and Ipads taking photos. (Yes...Ipads.) Its never a good idea to step into the aisle and grab a photo while the bride is walking down the aisle. I assure you shed much rather have the photo Im trying to take than the cell phone photo. I bet shed even share the image I took on Facebook so you could see it! Also, if you are a family member and have been asked to video the wedding, PLEASE dont position yourself in the front row and then stand in the middle of the aisle during the ceremony. You really dont want to be in all of the wedding images and the bride & groom would prefer for their ceremony pics not to have you front & center in them. Youre cute. I promise well get a photo of you with them later. But during the ceremony, its all about them. Believe me. I get it. My cell phone is full of photos that Ive taken (my kids, my dog, food Ive eaten, silly selfies...its all there.) But, there are times when it just needs put away. Sit back. Enjoy the ceremony. Sigh when the bride walks down the aisle & just enjoy the moment. I will do my best to capture it for you so you can relieve the moments later. Signed, Your wedding photographer
