Dear heavenly Father, we come to u as a people whose hearts are heavy right now as we receive the news of one who has done wrong been set free. Right now, there are emotions of anger, hurt, disappointment, bitterness and rage flowing thru us. Let them not consume us to the point where we turn against ourselves and others and bring further destruction to our communities. Let us trust you with those emotions so that we become empowered to do better for ourselves, our children, our families and our communities. We especially ask u to wrap your loving arms around the Martin family as they have not received closure in the murder of their son. I also pray for Zimmerman and the jurors that found no fault with him-protect them from the harm others want to inflict on them at this point and allow your justice to prevail in their lives for u said vengence is yours and u will repay! Help us Lord. Have mercy upon this country as we have turned our backs on you in sooooo many aspects! Forgive us Lord of our sins and heal our land. I specifically pray for protection for my son, nephew, grandsons, cousins, those boys and men who I call son and nephew and brother and for my male students. Keep their minds stayed on you and in a mode of uplifting and progressing and not pulling down and regressing! We pray this in the name of Jesus, amen!
