Dear #mbp2011, We have some exciting news. Last Friday we filed a class action lawsuit in California federal court against Apple related to the graphics defect affecting the 2011 MacBook Pros. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of three of our clients in California and Florida. We are excited to have the opportunity to serve the mbp2011 community, and we truly appreciate your contributions to date, including participating in telephone interviews, providing survey responses, offering technical expertise, raising public awareness, and, most importantly, standing up to Apple in the courts. A copy of the complaint can be found here: wbmllp/news/class-action-filed-against-apple-for-defective-2011-macbook-pro-laptops While we believe that the filing of this lawsuit is a significant step towards a just outcome for the mbp2011 community, the success of our case is not assured, and we believe that there is much, much more that we must do to continue our investigation, expand the scope of this lawsuit to states other than California and Florida and, ultimately, resolve this issue for all 2011 MacBook Pro owners. To that end, we would ask for your continued support in the following ways. First, if you have had your logic board replaced due to graphics issues on you MBP, we would appreciate it if you could please complete a short survey we have prepared. This survey should take no more than 5 minutes and is available at the following link. https://surveymonkey/s/2011MBP. Second, if you had your logic board replaced due to graphics issues during Apples one-year warranty period, then had another logic board replacement outside of the one-year warranty period, we urgently need to hear from you. Please send an email to 2011mbp@wbmllp with “Warranty Failure” in the subject line and someone will get back to you right away. Third, if you reside in the E.U. and would like more information about a potential collective action against Apple, please send an email to 2011mbp@wbmllp with “E.U.” in the subject line. Finally, if you would like to receive email updates about this litigation and our investigation, please send an email to 2011mbp@wbmllp with the word “subscribe” in the subject line. Thanks, WBM_DC
