Dear members, friends animal lovers, This is an URGENT and DESPERATE plea for help! The Nicosia pound dogs are in urgent need of dog food. There are more than 40 stray dogs in the pound now, the majority of which depend on us to be fed, so to maintain them alive (while as per the law, the municipality could have put them to sleep). We (as SPDC) are required to contribute more than 200KG of dog food per month, so to keep these dogs alive until they find homes. The municipality contributes only a small extra quantity of food, for the 9-10 dogs they are legally bound by law to keep, as they are strays found within the last 15 days! For the rest of the dogs, we are obliged to provide monthly, at least 200kg of dog food so to keep them alive! WE ARE IN URGENT NEED OF DOG FOOD! WE ARE CLOSE TO ZERO DOG FOOD! There is no way we can continue bearing the financial burden of providing them with 200KG of dog food without your help! Without dog food and without help, we cannot keep the dogs alive.
