Dear members of this group. Including the previous iteration known as the IZOD IndyCar Series group, I have maintained this site for a number of years. As stated in the Public Group about at the top right corner of this page, my intent was to see news items from known sources posted, and to see engaging commentary, as well as informed rumours, about the series and its teams and drivers. It also states that Id frown on overt negativity. My intent was to see engaging conversation and debate, which includes constructive criticism. Recently however, and Ive said this before, it seems there has been a lot of negativity posted, as well as far too much flaming and baiting of members. I think the line from constructive criticism to destructive commentary was crossed some time back. Many are guilty of this, a few are more guilty than others. Unfortunately, due to many factors, including the size of the group now, and my work hours which keep me away from the computer to moderate, the banter and baiting has gotten to the point that Ive seriously considered shutting the group down completely, and may still. However, for the time being I will be keeping it up. But, changes are being made, and for those that dont like it, oh well, you have other choices. The main change is that one member, who has his own page, has been eliminated. Although sometimes his comments were informative and thought provoking, the majority of the time I didnt find them to be either. Theres no reason for me to make any further comment on his posts, which were basically duplicates of what he posts on his own page anyway, which also crossed the line of the intent of this group. So, for those of you who want to continue receiving news from that source, please check out the IndyCar Serious page where the motto is; THIS PAGE WAS STARTED AS AN OPEN FORUM FOR LIKE, AND UNLIKE MINDS TO COMMUNICATE THEIR FEELINGS ABOUT INDYCAR.
