Dear neighbors: There are a lot of areas in S. Highland where there is no sidewalk. And one has to walk on the edge of the street to get to the next spot where there is sidewalk. Today, I was seriously menaced by several cars who were going too fast and/or didnt bother to give me some room when they passed me. If you are driving a car and see a pedestrian or a bike on the side of the road, please give them a wide berth if possible. And dont drive past them when they are in the street on the side with you going super duper fast, either. Its very scary to have a car zip past you when you didnt hear it coming up. Its thirty seconds of your time delayed when you are safe in your car but it is my, and my beloveds, lives. Im doing this to try to be healthy-- not to inconvenience anyones day and make you have to swerve your car a little.
