Dear people of sacramento: I dont know if this is common - TopicsExpress

Dear people of sacramento: I dont know if this is common knowledge or not, but out of curiosity today I decided to go look for a few of the figures/toys/mangas that I noticed at sac anime but decided not to buy, all on Amazon, and other such websites.. They were ALL at LEAST 25% to 50% cheaper. I recall specifically because a certain figure being sold was $100 at the con. Just looked it up online, and its selling for 30 bucks. How can they do this to us? Is it because they depend on us not having correct information? Or impulse buys? If anybody can offer actual insight into this (not just speculation) it would be much appreciated. Something just doesnt sit right with them trying to charge that much money. For the $100 figure~ while at the con I didnt look it up anywhere else, but I asked the seller why he was that much. They gave some sketch answer about how they have to make a profit margin, but sell it at a little over whatever retail price would be. Its online at 30 bucks. Wtf?
