Dear smiledialers, You will all be aware we have struggled to get major funding that would allow me to continue as CEO of smiledial in a full time capacity in 2015 (excluding the Kevin Blogg Trust that gave us $3500.00). What we have secured is amazing support from smiledial members who have donated money, run fundraisers and done so much to raise money. We have also received $5000.00 from Jennian Homes (thanks to smiledialers who voted for us) and also support from local businesses including The Honeypot Cafe. Due to your amazing support and passion for smiledials work we have raised enough funds for me to continue as the full time CEO for four months. With the blessing and support of my family I will no longer be seeking alternative employment and will continue in my current role in 2015. This is a gamble and we are hoping we will continue to receive support, until a large funding application is hopefully accepted and we will be taking things a week or month at a time. The most important thing is that we will continue to be here to support kiwi families raising kids with special needs. How could we not when so many of you have fought with us to keep going. I am humbled yet again by your support for this little charity and once again it shows smiledial is a community of people who care for one another.
