Dear students This is my account of things. 1. I have been charged with misconduct, which includes: pointing a security with a finger, apparently taking food from the bar and telling a company that it should leave campus because it is incompetent. 2. I have not been charged with money laundering or fraud for I have not stolen from poor students like the ones I lead. 3. The charges are the causes of my suspension, the SRC constitution dictates that you have a charge you must be suspended. I personally think its unfair because, you are not presumed innocent until proven guilty. The suspension is like a punishment in itself. 4. If I am not found guilty on any of my charges of misconduct, I am coming back to office 21 to do what I do best that is, advancing and advocating for student interest. 5. The deputy president will be acting president until the end of my hearing. 6. The CAN DO event is my baby. 999 Music intended to host at Giyani but I managed to persuade to host it here for you. You can call CAN DO or even 999 Music and they will assure you of the hard work I put in persuading them to host here. Ask university officials how much I bothered them to make sure it is done, CAN DO refresh tour is not the SRCs but it was my event in collaboration with external stakeholders, just for your entertainment. 7. I gladly welcome the decision by management so that I can prove my innocence, this is a method of witch- hunting because of my radical and vocal stance on Mushavhanamadi, NSFAS and the progress you are seeing around campus. Thank you for your support in this trying times. Thank you for the inboxes, whats apps, BBMs, calls and SMSs. They mean a lot to me. Kind regards Fukie Cde Uhuru Mofokeng suspended SRC President
