Dear supporters, wed like to deeply thank everyone who has gotten behind the One Less God Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, helping us to raise $57,308.90 AUD. While we have not reached our total, we are very proud to say that thanks to your support One Less God is (at the time of writing) the most successful Indiegogo campaign for an Australian narrative feature film ever. It is also the fifth most successful crowdfunding campaign ever for an Australian narrative feature film across crowdfunding platforms world wide. We feel that is a fantastic achievement that we all can be extremely proud of. It would not have been possible without all the wonderful words, sharing, likes, and of course direct backing, that you have all provided. We have had such an overwhelmingly positive response to the campaign and we have made so many new friends from all across the world. It has also been a period of great emotional turmoil, sadness and debate around the world. We are just one small voice in a landscape of reactive opinion and hyperbole. While we do not believe in all ideas and are strong adherents to critical thinking and study. We believe in people. All people. Irrespective of race or religion, and hope One Less God will be both the challenging, and deeply humanist piece that we have worked so hard to create. We do believe now more than ever, that we made the right choice to make One Less God and start to explore these issues 6 years ago. So whats next? We wont be able to move as quickly as we would have liked. More finances will need to be sourced and more favours found. Because we will not compromise on the quality of the film. There is a very good equation for making films: Cheap. Fast. Quality. You can only have any two. if you want cheap and fast... you cannot have quality. If you want quality cheap... you will not have fast. This is the equation OLG has long dealt with and will continue to do so. However our campaign has placed us in a position where we can at the very least keep moving at speed into our edit and preliminary sound design, and a few of the other required Is and Ts that have to be dotted. Well be keeping you all consistently updated right here on our FB page as we move forwards. There are some very exciting days ahead of us!
