Dear veterans, Thank you. Being prior service myself; I would like to say, I appreciate your service. I can remember the days when people went into the service and were just gone and forgot about(except by close friends and family). Im glad that has changed. I remember our unofficial soldiers anthem we used to say to each other. . . We are the unwanted doing the unspeakable for the ungrateful. We are the disenfranchised doing the diligence of The Democracy. We are the unwilling doing the unthinkable for the unwitting. You have to remember, the country had a different mindset back then. No one thanked you for your service. You werent considered a hero just because you wore fatuiges. You were seen by others as , an asset of the government. Really that was about it. People were sent into the service in lieu of jail time. The post Vietnam era military wasnt as glamorous until after Desert Shield/ Desert Storm in 1991. . . After that, it all turned around. Everything changed. Total Victory within 100 hours will do that. I am glad to see it. It makes me proud as an American. Its like seeing a deadbeat dad finally get his s*** together and start paying child support. You finally look at them in a different light, as if to say: Okay, good deal. Good for you. I guess we also have social media to thank for that. Anyway, I digress. What Id like to say is THANK YOU.
