Dearest Friends I am creating another world-wide online Grief Ritual to tie in with the National Grieving Day - global on Saturday 22nd November to create and hold spaces, all around the world, giving people opportunities to sit with and move through their hurt, loss and grief towards celebration, hope and light. Just to fill you in on the background.... the inspiration came last year with the strong sense that to fully and freely move forwards through lifes events, we need to navigate the discomfort and uncertainty of our grief and loss; mindful that our loss might be an expectation, a home, a way of life, a period in our life or indeed the bereavement of a loved one, whether its deemed big or small, old or recent. This ‘being’ with and fully allowing our grief is often an uncomfortable, but essential part of the rebirth that happens after a loss. To help this the National Grieving Day envisions gatherings that gently allow us navigate and transition through these challenges so that we can reawaken a sense of hope in the future. A behind the scenes insight: the 22nd of November was chosen as its one of the darkest day of the year, being the last New Moon before the solstice of the 21st of December after which the days start getting longer. So there isnt even moonlight in the sky on this day - the idea being people can being to awaken a shift from darkness into light. I will post more in the coming days.... x
