Dearest Hoopers, A situation recently arose where we failed to - TopicsExpress

Dearest Hoopers, A situation recently arose where we failed to properly credit an artist for an image that we posted to Facebook and Instagram. I would like to offer my most sincere apologies to the artist, her friends, and anyone in the community that we may have offended with this error in judgement. Hoopnotica was born from my love of hoop dance as an expressive art form. In addition to my role as CEO, I also identify as an artist, and have expressed myself through various mediums over my career. As a businesswoman and an artist, I have a deep awareness of the value of ones own artwork, image, or intellectual property. I have worked with my team to determine what factors lead to this recent incident, and promise to you that I will take steps to correct any future mistakes of this nature from happening. Here are a few extra measures were putting in place: Hoopnotica will request artist permission before sharing any images found on the internet/google images/3rd party (non social-media) websites. We will not share any images without artist permission, and even then, will ALWAYS be sure to properly credit the artist with a mention and website link (if applicable). Social networks thrive on shared content and stories. Images and videos shared by members of our community on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter may be re-shared on Hoopnotica social media pages, but will ALWAYS be linked back to the original post and properly credit the artist. If you would like to share your own artwork, videos, or photos, please send us a Facebook message or email to NAME@Hoopnotica. Well collect submissions and be in touch if we decide to use one of your images/video to make sure we have your appropriate credit information. We will NEVER watermark our logo on an image that we dont personally own. All images and posts shared by Hoopnotica will be subject to review by a supervisor in advance of posting, to ensure that these guidelines are adhered to. Im open to feedback - so please dont hesitate to share your thoughts and feelings in an e mail to Gabriella@hoopnotica. Were always open to suggestions from our community. Thank you for your dedication to the art and practice of Hoop Dance! Gabbi Rose, CEO, Hoopnotica
