Dearest Santa Claus, My name is Cragen and I am an outgoing 3 1/2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix or basically just a really good dog! I never expected to be writing to you about a Christmas Wish because I had hoped that I would have all that I have waited for by now - A Real Family and Home Of My Very Own! You see Santa, I have spent most of my life in the shelter, my friends tell me that it is not my fault but it still hurts me very much! I was finally adopted last Fall, after living here for well over a year, but my Mom brought me back a few months later because my family unit broke up and my needs could not be met. I didnt understand what happened or what I did wrong, all I really need is some daily exercise, structure, training reinforcement, continued socialization, and love which doesnt take too much time throughout the week - I wouldnt think! A few toys, soft bed, and some treats wouldnt hurt either but I dont want to be greedy so a nice, active family and home would be just fine with me! I have always been a happy dog and a few set-backs havent changed me; I am still the same smiley, loving guy with the wiggly tail that I have always been! I love hiking, wading in the water, car rides with trips to McDonalds for a burger, agility, clicker training, playing with toys, mental challenges, hugs, and praise! I have been in our Bright Futures training class with one of my very best pals for a long time; I really love class and field trips. I know all of my basic commands, as well as some that are more advanced! I have also completed an off-site reactive dog class with another one of my BFFs and it helped me with some of my anxiety around dogs that I do not know and distractions. Although I love all of the special friends that I have made here at the shelter and would miss them so much, it is not where any dog would want to spend his life! All Dogs Need Good Homes with patient, kind families to be All That They Can Be! That is what I want most in the whole, wide world Santa - My Christmas Wish is for a True, Loving, Forever Family and a Good Home. Thank You Santa! Love, Cragen P.S.
