Join the Idle No More Rally @ Sculpture Park on August 11th, the Second Call to Protect the Sacredness of the Salish Sea on August 13th, and the Gathering @ Daybreak Star Cultural Center on September 7th for the launch and blessing of the Nawt-sa-maat Alliance. More information below. Please RSVP and spread the word! Upcoming Events: *August 11th- Idle No More Washington Rally @ Sculpture Park, Seattle 11am-1:30pm PST The beach we will be at is a sacred gathering place of the Coast Salish people. We will stand in solidarity with all our brothers and sisters as we honor our ancestors, recommit ourselves as stewards of this land for us and future generations, and protect it from the proposed coal trains, tar sand/oil trains, and tankers. Please join us in prayer, song, and light lunch. Bring your drums, rattles, and water from your area for a Water Blessing, canoe landing, jam session, and a symbolic blocking of the trains. It will provide an opportunity for all voices to be heard as we network, update one another, connect and organize. Link: on.fb.me/1n8JjdX Alone, our challenges may seem impossible. Together, in Unprecedented Unified Action, we will Protect and Restore the Sacred. “One House. One Heart. One Prayer. United in Power to Protect the Sacred.” The Nawt-sa-maat Alliance P.S. Watch this powerful video of Sundance Chief Rueben Georg and the Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, Musqueam, and settler allies offering a prayer to the Waters in front of the Kinder Morgan Oil Tanker filling Facility. The prayers were offered to give something good back to our mother earth, from whom we take so much. The ceremony was held to pray, and to express opposition to the expansion of the Tarsands, Pipelines and oil Tanker traffic on the coast.
