Debbie and I saw Unbroken, the true story of Olympic track star - TopicsExpress

Debbie and I saw Unbroken, the true story of Olympic track star and war hero, Louis Zamperini. The movie ended before the most important part: his salvation at a Billy Graham crusade. Interestingly, Louie was able to stay unbroken through all the physical and emotional suffering, but his intense hatred for the evil Japanese prison camp commander was breaking him upon his return to America. He was externally free, but internally a prisoner to hate, bitterness, and revenge. Only Christ could set him free. And He did when Louie surrendered his life to Him. What is the lesson? Man can overcome lots of terrible things, but he cannot conquer bitterness, hate, and his own sin. Only Jesus can do that miracle within the human heart. Here is Louies story in his own words. cbn/tv/1422057738001
