Debbie wrote--Hi, my name is Debbie. This is my 1st time on your site. Im 47 yrs.old. My left leg was amputated below the knee 5 yrs ago this april 8th. I am now facing my right leg also being amputated.It seems like I sailed through the 1st one with very little problem. This one however has taken me to a dark place.I feel like I couldnt possibly go through this again. I feel like I have no fight left in me, I feel totally emotionally consumed by this.Im trying to be strong, but Im having a really hard time right now..its hard for me to say I need help dealing with this. My husband has been really wonderful so far, but he doesnt fully understand , how could he, he has both legs.ive always been independent most of my life. Id rather do it myself rather than ask for help.As I said,im in a dark place right now, and Im scared..So tired of crying and feeling weak. Im turning to this site to help get me through this.
