Dec 18 Good Morning Family; Well Praise The Lord; still on the south seas, sailing smoothly. You know I noticed something on this cruise...majority are 70 years and older. Some are in whippin around corners in their electric wheelchairs, some are poppin wheelies in their manual wheelchairs, some are knockin people upside the heads with their canes if you dont move out the way fast enough. But all are confident and sure of themselves- no matter what health status they are in. They feel free at dinnertime to talk about their ailments, BM status, etc. I mean stuff we would never dream of - at least not in front of strangers. They attend the onboard ship classes that are being taught, the entertainment (I say that loosely) shows, and definitely the buffet lines. Why is that? Why do they feel so relaxed to just show up in their natural self, cut offs, T-shirts, etc. After being around them practically all of my life, I gather it is because they were taught that. They were taught the world belongs to them and they can do and be whatever they want to do and be. And I am right smack dab in the midst of them. And yeah, I know a few want to ask what am I doing here, I can see it some faces- and I want them to come out and ask me too. The majority of them are extremely nice, you can tell the Pres Obama supporters (mainly cause they are wearing their old 2008 Vote for Obama T-shirts)- but also in their mannerisms. They treat me as though I should be here. I am not abnormal. So I am thankful for that. I am thankful for this peace. I really hope we have a family gathering such as this. We need to do this for our children, to let them know, they can do whatever they want to do too. So Father, thank You, thank You for this opportunity, thank You for my Father teaching us about saving and focusing on what is important. Thank You that none, I mean none of these people got nothin’ on us. Thank You Lord. All is well Love everybody MAW And Lord, please, keep me away from the buffet line. Control my appetite. Thank You in advance Promises of God 20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21 (NASB) 8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 (NASB) 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! 16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin [a]resulting in death, or of obedience [b]resulting in righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that [c]though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, 18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself…Great peacemakers are all people of integrity, of honesty, and humility. ~Nelson Mandela True Light Gentle Whisper
