December 12th, 1985... - Scottish keyboard player Ian Stewart passed away. Ian became a co-founder of the Rolling Stones when he was the first to answer Brian Jones ad seeking musicians to form a rhythm & blues group (Jazz News, May 2, 1962). He played on all The Rolling Stones albums between 1964 and 1983, except for _Beggars Banquet, and also played piano on Led Zeppelins Rock and Roll and Boogie With Stu from Physical Graffiti. Same day, 2008 - The town where Mick Jagger and Keith Richards grew up announced it was to name streets in a new estate after Rolling Stones hits... Angie Mews, Babylon Close, Sympathy Street, Little Red Walk and Satisfaction Street. They were going to name one Ruby Tuesday Drive, but police were concerened that the signs would get stolen. Same day, 1974 - Mick Taylor leaves the band. Same day, 2003 - Mick Jagger is knighted. ...and it was yesterday in 1968 that they filmed this for their movieRock and Roll Circus, and what is now my favorite Stones video! Cue the clowns! youtu.be/AsWR0CTWazQ
