December 15 has just passed. It is now midnight. I have received, over 363 Happy Birthday wishes posted on my wall. Countless private FB messages, emails, text messages, phone calls and Birthday cards. If I ever thought, I was walking this earth alone, which I never do, because when I walk I see footsteps beside me. When I stumble, I feel a hand lift me up. When things get so hectic and seem to look like a blur, there is One who wipes my eyes so that I can see clearly. When darkness tries to surround me, a light suddenly shines to lead me forward. When things seem too quiet, lonely and tiring, I hear that still small voice saying, I will stick closer than a brother.” I never feel victimized by the thought of never having friends, family or loved ones reaching out to support my efforts and goals. A very warm and humble thank you to all who brought a smile, a laugh, a vote of confidence to my soul by just a simple message of Happy Birthday. Now, I would like to say Happy Birthday to my dad, Thomas J. ONeill, who by the way, and not coincidently, both he and I were born on this very same day of, December 15. If there is one thing I have learned from him, though many, it is having true humility, an appreciation of the creative spirit, and a sense of respect for those around me including loving animals (pets) of all kinds. What a wonderful piece of him I have gained; what a wonderful day this has been...and what a wonderful world we live in. Thank you for an awe, inspiring day and God bless you all.
