December 19th The 19th day of this journey brings me to the magnificent Marko Zachary Muellner. The first time we met was 7 years ago shortly after we moved to Portland. We answered an ad on Craigslist for a sandbox. It just so happened that the sandbox we bought had belonged to the amazingly lovely and gorgeous Muellnervan family. We didnt become friends that moment, but hold on tight... Fast forward a few years later to a new client that Jen took on for family photos (the same family that we bought the sandbox from!). Jen hit it off with them and as a few more years passed, the rest of our family was invited over to meet & hang out with them. We certainly loved them from the get-go. Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Marko and this guy is just so amazing. Hes brilliant, humble, whimsical, comical, talented, loving, kind, compassionate, and has teamed up with his gorgeous wife, Laura, to raise three of the most special and amazing young women Ive ever met. That alone is an amazing accomplishment. We spend hours talking about food. We spend hours marveling at the alchemy and skill that goes into beer, whiskey, and an assortment of elixirs. I am so very grateful that our paths have crossed. Its so challenging for me to have safe, deep, & comforting friendships with guys these days because of a long list of things (health, family, life...) but Marko gets it and for that I am so thankful and as a bonus, I feel a little less lonely in my world. Thank you Marko! Until we raise a glass and eat obscenely tasty gastronomic delights... Cheers!
