December 22, 1990. First Baptist Church. Carmi, Illinois. 6:00 pm. I had the privilege and honor of watching the most beautiful young bride walk down the aisle, stand next to me, take my hand and say I do. Neither of us had ANY idea what the future would hold. We didnt really care. God had brought us together and we knew it. Im so grateful that Kristen looked beyond her fears, gave up a lot of firsts that most young couples share together and took a chance on this guy, loving me in spite of the flaws and baggage I had. She gave up the career goals she had to be a wife and instant mother. She loved our son as if she had given birth to him. She taught me a lot about parenting. She helped me get over past hurts. She loved me through thick and thin, mostly thin. As time marched on she gave me two more beautiful kids. I cannot imagine what life would have been like without her. Im so thankful God put us together over 25 years ago and has kept us together since. Honey, I love you with all my being!! Thank you for all these great years. Im looking forward to growing old with you.
