December 22: GRATITUDE: For the eagle that I saw on my way home today. Today I am grateful for no more dead animals... so far. :p I am also grateful for a great friend who is a hair dresser who helped me to feel pretty again. Living on the farm, on tends to let things slide just a little too long... well.. Now, Im all pretty once more. :) And dont that put a spring in a womans step!!! :D She also gave the Little Lady a present from her big dog... Note to all other dogs.. this big dog is not to be trifled with! He is big and he means business and if he is sending Little Lady gifts, then Id say its paws off to the rest of the dogs! (he was also a really good friend to Little Dog) The gift was the cutest little lumber mans sweater coat for her... oh my goodness! Its so sweet! and fits her just right! I think I might get our Logging logo embroidered on it and have her name done too... just like the rest of the logging crew!! I think that would make Mr. Logger even more proud of his peanut ( seriously, thats what he calls her!) !! On that note, I shall be leaving you all for possibly a few days. Tomorrow is our staff dinner, a home raised and cooked turkey.. though I really think it should be a pig roasting over a hot bed of coals! We will be busy preparing a feast for and serving (20 or more) and then cleaning up and by the end of the night I will be ready to fall into bed with my apron on... I know that already.
