December 24, 2014 The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it? (Joel 2:11) Conclusion . . . How close is America’s “Day of the LORD”? Will God resurrect the spirit of Nebuchadnezzar, whose ravenous, bloodthirsty, and merciless men will execute God’s judgment across our nation? Must we experience another “9-11” type attack before we recognize that God wants us to welcome and embrace Him into our society, not expunge Him from it? While many may brag, and tout the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our Homeland Security Office in preventing further attacks upon our land, in truth, God alone is our Homeland Security. Only He can protect our borders and land, one hundred percent of the time, from further attack. However, if we continue down the path we have hewn rather than the one that God set before us, then we should not be surprised when He releases us into the hands of our enemies. As long as we continue to focus on our circumstances rather than upon Jesus, as long as we persist in idolatry, the pursuit of pleasure and the gratification of our lust, God will allow us to wander in the desert of our own making, to die of hunger and thirst. Yet, the moment we seek His face, the moment we repent, ask His forgiveness, and strike the Rock of Jesus in the wilderness, then that Rock will pour forth living water that will cleanse and heal our land, restoring the life that was into the life that will be in Him. Therefore, let us take heed to sound the alarm from His holy hill, hearing and turning from our way to His! MerryChristmas!
