December 31, 2014 Evening Update on Deborah Taylor: She had a restful night without any changes (other than seizure medication being discontinued). Since then, she hasnt had any seizures! Praise the Lord! The second EEG (done yesterday) showed a decline from the previous one. We met with the nephrologist (kidney specialist) today and changed the fluid delivery from using a port to using an IV. She is starting to get dehydrated again. Also, her kidneys are not stable so the diuretic has been discontinued. Hopefully, changing to IV fluids and stopping the diuretic will help her kidneys and her heart. If the kidneys dont improve within the next 24-48 hours, we will have to consider putting Deborah on dialysis. We are not sure that she is strong enough to withstand that. Please know that we are extremely grateful and humbled by the love and support being shown to our family during this difficult time. Please continue to lift our family, especially Deborah, up in prayer. We serve a mighty God who is able to do all things. He is the great physician.
