December 6th the Feast of St Nicholas. We arrived at Reno, Nevada at 4pm after covering 520 miles since leaving a warm Salt Lake City. The Ramada Hotel was the worst by far this trip, they really had no idea - not even food at breakfast! The weather has been amazing and warm, and tonight we have just walked the dog near the airport and we did not need any coats at all. The scenery today has been very interesting, with some stunning mountains and open valleys. As of tonight we have covered well over 2,900 miles since Monday lunchtime when we handed over the keys of the Rectory in Schenectady to Rick Forshaw at St Georges. Sunday December 7th Advent 2 sees only 190 miles before we arrive at our new home in River Ridge Drive, Redding, CA. Then unpack furniture early next week we hope and then to work at All Saints. I am really pleased we all shared the driving - three is better than two! See pics! Tonight Henry is living it up in the Best Western at Reno Airport with his very own bed provided by the hotel plus doggy treats to eat. This journey has been so much fun, and Maggie and myself have really enjoyed the quality time together. God be praised for this amazing pilgrim journey week.
